9V Solar & battery power supply


Description

The 9V Solar & battery power supply is specially designed for Arduino and other microcontroller project alike.  It can be used as a portable power supply, and is capable of delivering 9V, 500mA power.  It can be charged by your PCB USB port or by sun-light or in-door light sources. It has following features:
  • output voltage 9V+- 0.5V, output current, upto 500mA
  • Size - 120 x 73.5 x12.5 mm
  • Built-in Lithium Ion Battery pack rated at 3.7V, 900mAh (13.5 hours for Arduino in Standby)
  • Built-in Lithium Ion Battery charging and protection circuitry, protecting against over-charging the battery.
  • Built-in Solar panel, capable of charging the battery in 15-30 hours (depends on light condition).
  • The Solar panel can charge the battery whether or not the power-supply is in use.
  • It can be fully charged in 3 hours through normal 5V, 500mA USB port.
  • Dircetly plug into your Arduino 6mm Power Jack, no fly-wire, no assembly needed.

Instruction

Using the Solar & battery power supply is simple.  As it is shown on the photo,  one LED indicates the charging status, one mini USB socket is used for charging the battery (via PC's USB port) or delivering power.    The LED lights up when battery charging (either via USB port or the solar panel) takes place; and turns off when the battery is fully charged.

NOTE -- Before first use, please charge your battery via PC's USB port for 2-3 hours, or until the charging LED turns off.
